During the past 55 years of breeding, there have been several ROM Calico Ridge bitches that I could easily describe as "my favorite girls" and I've gathered a small sampling of these girls below:
"Candy" (Ch Calico Ridge Sweet Thing ROM) Candy provided me with some of the great dogs in the breed, Honky Tonk Hero, his litter brother Sweet Music Man, Brandy passed on to her offspring her clean, muscular body type, smooth reach and drive and her style.

"Baby" (Ch Calico Ridge N'Tombinde, ROM) Full sister to Candy.
Selected my daughter as her person above all others. A very successful show career with two BOS at National Specialties (one from WB) and a top ten ranking when bitches seldom were considered for the BOB. She was the dam of Sundown Bandit, ROM.

"Joie" (Ch Calico Ridge Lionhearted Maiden) Joie passed quietly in 2013, short by only 1 Ch of earning her ROM. Several of her offspring are currently in the show ring and it is my hopes that I can add the ROM to her name soon.
Joie was my constant traveling companion~ sometimes simply because I couldn't trust her. If I left her home I would always worry that the house would still be standing on my return or worse yet, she would have sold it and retired to a small Caribean Island. Her ingenuity, intelligence and craftiness most often caused me to shake my head in dismay but to always smile at her antics. Joie contributed her attitude to her offspring, many of whom are currently reporting back activities that remind me of her so much. RIP Joie
